Virginia Highway Department's Adopt-A-Highway Program.
The Burke Rotary Club is an annual food vendor at the Burke Centre Fall Festival. We serve our world famous french fries, sausages, sodas and ice cream over a two day festival that caters to Burke, VA residents. We are proud to report that this year’s festival was the most successful fund raiser for the Burke Rotary Club in many years. The funds generated will go to our efforts for our Vocational Scholarships and other endeavors.
The Burke Rotary club re-started its relationship with the Northern Virginia Literacy council by helping with their annual book sale. Nine Burke Rotarians donated their time and energy on a Sunday to help with the book sale. Whether it was stocking shelves, running a cash register, or helping a prospective customer, the Burke Rotary club was there to help in any way. Diana Slack, our newest member, organized the effort on behalf of the club. Well done, Diana!
